babels of Break-in swirl lunchroom / gym
tangling in basketball nets cranked to ceiling
sticky to tables pulled from walls
teaching us to question
don’t hungrily accept what’s being offered
version of facts cooked to institutional scale
we learned to hesitate
rather than slop it on our trays
doubt instead of instantly swallowing
ask first, “who does this serve?”
